The Role: Field Technician
Makes sure every apartment has fast, reliable internet by maintaining the fiber network, installing and fixing in-unit routers, and helping residents stay connected.
Candidates do not need to be located in Charleston. The role requires frequent travel to apartment communities and project sites, primarily along the East Coast, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support resident move‑ins, service activations, and equipment swaps.
- Install, test, and maintain fiber optic connections from building network equipment to individual apartment units.
- Verifying Wi‑Fi coverage and signal strength
- Inspection and repair of MDF/IDF equipment
- Coordinating access with property managers or leasing offices
- Deliver professional, customer‑focused service while working inside occupied apartment homes.
- Supporting mass unit activations before move‑ins
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel to apartment communities and project sites
- Travel primarily throughout the Eastern United States
- Overnight travel may be required depending on project schedules
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and professionalism are critical
- 1+ Years experience with fiber optics infrastructure (splicing, testing, cleaning)
- Clean driving record
- Basic network troubleshooting skills
- 1+ Years experience in multifamily environments
- Collaborative attitude with a passion to grow and make an impact
- Ability to travel frequently to apartment communities and project sites, primarily along the East Coast
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
